AFL VIC 9-A-Side
Register now to try out AFL Victoria's newest format, 9-a-side footy!Participants aged 8-14 can register for FREE and come down to Wellington Reserve to play in 9-a-side mini matches on the 20th September. Beginners and regular players welcome. The matches are played on smaller fields with modified rules including no tackling, making it perfect for those who are playing for the first time or just want to come down and have some fun. Join the specialist coaches from AFL Victoria who will be there to help learn and improve your fundamentals of the game no matter your skill level. Spots are limited so get in quick!

Cricket Blast
Come and join the staff from Mulgrave Cricket Club and Cricket Victoria, learn some new skills, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the game of cricket. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, all kids aged 5-12 years are welcome. Kids can learn the various skills of cricket such as throwing, catching, bowling, and batting and working together as a team. There will be modified games and activities for everyone to enjoy. Plastic bats and rubber balls will be used for everyone’s safety. All equipment will be supplied. Please wear comfortable loose clothing, hat, joggers, and bring a drink bottle. Families can enjoy a free BBQ following the event (vegetarian option available). Canteen and amenities will be open for your convenience.

Roaming Sports Locker - Mon 18th Sept

Active Communities believes all children have the right to run and play their way. That’s why we’re bringing our sports locker on the road to our Monash parks, reserves, and recreation centres. The roaming sports locker aims at providing youths with the opportunity to get active, have a play and learn new skills.
Our roaming locker has a variety of things to get active with! From sports equipment such as Pickleball, Basketball, soccer. To super fun hula hoops, skipping ropes and more.
Kids and families can borrow sporting equipment at the location for their own free active play. One of our specialised Active Monash Trainers will also be running some games, activities, skills & drills also for those who want to join in.
Kids aged 5-13 can join these free sessions hosted across various location in the City of Monash.
