CURRICULUM FOCUS

We have started our investigation on an area of physical science this term by looking at forces and motion. This can be forces/motion that push and pull. These working forces allow us to enjoy many different tools and toys today. 

VOCABULARY

Force: A push or pull that makes things move.

Motion: the action or process of moving or being moved.

Physical Science: Study of Non-Living things - Machines.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Go on a hunt around the house for toys/ objects that require a push or pull to move. For example- the fridge door requires a pull to open in and a push to close it.

Can you find 5 toys/items that require either a push or pull to move?
