Endeavour House News

I would like to sincerely thank all Endeavour students and their families for a wonderful Semester – it's been a huge learning curve for me, and I can honestly say, I love this job! I would like to acknowledge the amazing work of all boarding staff, with special mention to Mrs Amber Freeman, Miss Sienna Ball, Miss Mia Collins, Miss Grace Larham, Miss May Botha, Miss Tiffany Kok and Miss Carter Wight. These women are Endeavour House Supervisors who guide, care and support the students with open hearts, at all times.
COVID
After the long weekend, we found ourselves back in COVID territory, with some students needing to return home to recover. Fortunately, after a couple of weeks, everything was back to normal. I would like to congratulate everyone for actively following and adhering to the recommendations, which I'm sure helped us get through this wave quickly.
House Activities
Baking and craft activities have set the tone for the last few weeks of term. With the cooler, wetter weather, the students have been enjoying everything the Albany winter has to offer. Favourite activities have included hanging out by the heater in the foyer, making craft projects, listening to music and playing in puddles outside.
Prep and Reports
In terms of school and prep, the Endeavour students have worked hard to ‘finish strong’. They are developing their study habits and establishing good prep routines. For the school reports, I have written a comment for everyone, and I have marked the students against seven set traits/behaviours. I trust the reports will help inform students and families of the progress made this Semester, and areas which may need attention. All-in-all it's been a fantastic Semester One and I'm looking forward to the ups and downs when we return next term! Please don’t hesitate to contact me after the break if you would like to discuss your child's progress, or for any other reason.
I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.

Leaders Report
The term has flown by, and the Endeavour students are busy with their schooling, sporting and personal commitments throughout each week. Recently, we asked everyone to reflect on what their favourite things are in the house. The most popular things included spending time with friends, the Endeavour Supervisors, rec activities, Friday night IGA runs and the recently installed hammocks. These are just some of the key things that makes Endeavour the awesome house it is. Reading through what everyone had written made us both realise how grateful we are to have an amazing home away from home.
Have a restful and relaxing break.
