Year 5 / 6 News - Podcast update!

The Year 5/6 camp to Queenscliff was an absolute highlight of this term. The fun had and the memories made will be long remembered!

In order to hold onto those memories and share them with others, we have created and recorded our own Camp Podcasts.

Our Podcast Program aims to develop our speaking and listening skills while learning about the podcast technology.

The Year 5 students are mentored by the Year 6 experts. We all love being our podcast studio decked out with top notch microphones and mixing desk.

Enjoy the first of many Camp podcasts we will share with you!

The Year 5/6 classes were amazed by marine biologist Bec Ceveri’s presentation.

We looked at marine artefacts and specimens, discovering the structural and behavioral adaptations of marine organisms in Port Phillip Bay.

A big thank you to Bec for sharing her time and passion with us.

How fortunate we are to have such experts in our parent community!

Lots of Lego!

Students across the school have been testing out their teamwork, construction and coding skills with out Lego Spike kits. The collaboration has been not only in pairs and small groups, but across grades. Classes have been taking it in turns to build models and code them.

One example this week was that the Year 4 class constructed a set of lego vehicles that the Foundation and Year 1 students then used to practice their new found coding skills.

Look out for the next robotics engineers in the shots below!
