Japanese Sister School Visit | Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August |
We hope you all had a relaxing break and are ready to tackle the new semester.
We held an assembly to welcome the students back and discussed the importance of setting personal goals to plan for their own success as a student. We encourage parents to engage with their student and help them set achievable goals to work towards.
With only 18 weeks left of the school year, learning goals are more important than ever before moving up into their 2024 year level. We want to ensure that each student is equipped with the knowledge and skills required for the next stage of their education or steps moving into the workforce.
As we come into the colder months, please check in with our uniform policy to ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We ask that students wear the correct uniform at all times. If students require support, please contact the Hub.
We would like to congratulate our Year 9 students for their great efforts in returning their subject selection forms in a timely manner for Year 10. We appreciate your cooperation and support in making this process run smoothly.
Year 8 students can now begin expressing their interest in the Alpine School, which is a unique opportunity for a small number of students to experience education in a different light.
More details about the Alpine school can be found at http://www.alpineschool.vic.edu.au/
Year 8 students are also in the process of selecting their Year 9 subjects for 2024. Students will be completing this process during their PE class. The selections are due back by Friday 28th July. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the College on 5150 4800.
Upcoming events to keep in mind include the Athletics Carnival, which will be held on Tuesday 25th July. Please make sure your child wears their house colours on this day to show support for their team. Also in week 3, our Japanese sister school are visiting with a number of students from Yaei High School.
We look forward to working with you and your student/s this semester to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
