An enormous CONGRATULATIONS to the SMCC Run Squad who took on the Gold Coast 10km on Sunday 2nd July with 3,500 other athletes from around the world. Well done SMCC Running Squad, we are very proud of you!

Once again, thank you to our sponsors, who made this trip financially possible for our squad. Without their partnership, our students would not have the opportunity to compete at this level in the sport. Thank you so very much!

Expectations for students with regards to organisation:

  • Read the Notices located on the Student Portal each school day.
  • Bring their water bottle and hat to every Sport lesson. Failure to bring a hat will result in a lunch time detention. If your sport is a fitness-based activity, you will need to bring a towel.

Expectations for students with regards to behaviour and engagement:

  • Participate in the Sport/ Activity to the best of their ability.
  • Represent our College well when travelling off site.
  • Demonstrate respectful and appreciative behaviour towards any outside provider facilitating a program along with a St Mary’s staff member.

Please note: Our Sport program involves some groups travelling offsite therefore please avoid making appointments during Tuesday and Wednesday sport.

TCS & Peninsula Trials

Parents/ carers will need to contact the College regarding any school absence due to students attending Peninsula trials which occur during school hours. TCS trials occur afterschool.

Students are reminded to collect signed Peninsula paperwork from the HPE staffroom to take to their TCS trials. Students will NOT be allowed to trial if they do not have this paperwork.

Students and their families are responsible for:

Logging onto the Student Portal to obtain:

  • TCS Calendar (this tells you when your trial is on)
  • Peninsula paperwork (complete, hand in & collect to take to trial)
  • Notice of Trial (This document is uploaded to TCS Sport app within two weeks of trial)
  • Follow the timelines outlined in the Peninsula Paperwork Process – See below:

Instructions on how to obtain access through the Student Portal have been provided each week at the end of this Bulletin – See below:

  1. Go to the TCS Sport tile in the Student Portal

  2. In the ‘Key Paperwork’ section print the ‘Notice of Trial’ information for your sport trial. These will be uploaded as soon as we receive them. If it is not there for your trial, check again soon or see the sport staff in the HOB staffroom.

  3. Complete the ‘Peninsula Student Permission Details Booklet’ immediately and bring it to the HPE staffroom for signing – paperwork needs to be submitted AT LEAST one week prior to the trial date. If it comes in later than this, we cannot guarantee that students will get it back in time for the trial which can result in them not being allowed to participate.

Students then need to report back to the HPE staffroom within 2 days to collect their signed paperwork and take the Peninsula Student Details Booklet with them to the trial
