STEM Update

I'm afraid I ran out of time before this week's newsletter deadline to write something witty (or just talk more about childhood), so instead, I think it's time for a "That's right, the 3D printer we have is pretty cool and I wish I had when I was in primary school" posts.
This week, the Grade 5 and 6 students started using Sketchup for the first time as we looked at architecture and 3d house design, as this was our first time using it my goal was simple: "Instead of worrying about learning all of its functions right now, can we just use it to make something cool... which we will then print?"
You can see two of the outcomes below - a rather contemporary pencil holder, and our special guest Bruce Wayne has built something too...
