Forest School

Under the mist of the mountain, we have played with autumn leaves, dug channels in dirt piles, whittled wood, created new structures, cooperated on projects, made up new games, balanced girls vs boys on a seesaw, engaged in imaginary play, got lost in the maze and used nature to self-regulate. Our journey in the forest continues to bring so many challenges, adventures and achievements.

I continue to seek green wood for whittling as it is a very popular pastime. We are currently enjoying learning new skills whilst practising non-attachment! (The kids are not taking their whittled sticks home).

I am also seeking parents to support all classes to have a fire next week and/or the week after. Please let me know via email if you could offer support on a Tuesday or Wednesday on June 13/14 and/or June 20/21: Sarah.Kline@education.vic.gov.au.

Many thanks from Sarah the Forest Fairy!
