Sport Around the Grounds

Season 2 Thursday Representative Sport (Year 7 - 10)

Season two of Rep Sport is now well under way and nearing the completion of the season. The season will end a few weeks into term 3. 

We wish our ultimate frisbee team the best of luck this week as they play against St John Paul II in their semi-final game and our junior boys soccer team as they now enter playoffs. All other teams continue normal pool play and will enter playoffs early next term. 

Representative Sport

Congratulations to Cassius from Stage 3 for being apart of the MacKillop Rugby League team and placing third at the NSWPSSA Rugby League event. This is a huge achievement which saw Cassius play with and against the very best junior Rugby League players from all over NSW. 

Athletics

Qualifying times have now been received from the organisers of both Primary Zone and Secondary Diocesan Athletics events. Students that have qualified for either Zone or Diocesan Athletics have now been posted on the sports notice board which is located in the Marketplace. Please ask your children to check the sports notice board if they have not already. Parents/Carers of students that have qualified will receive a permission form via Compass towards the start of next term. 

After School Cricket Program - Woolworths Cricket Blast

Throughout this term we were fortunate enough to be able to have Cricket NSW run a 5 week program after-school. It was lovely to see over 130 students take part in this program where they worked on developing their cricket skills. It was rewarding to see how much students developed their skills as a result of this program. 

Stage 3 Boys Soccer Gala Day 

Recently our Stage 3 Boys Soccer team participated in a Diocesan Soccer Gala Day. The boys were extremely competitive throughout the day and had a lot of fun while displaying great sportsmanship. Well done to all students involved!
