CULTURAL DIVERSITY WEEK: VEDIC MATHS

During Cultural Diversity Week, Mrs Nayyar’s Year 8 Maths class had the opportunity to learn about Vedic Maths. We were split into groups to research on different techniques to simplify questions. It was interesting to discover quick and easy ways to solve large and complicated problems. 

Among the many useful tools, we learnt how to cube 2-digit numbers and multiply them by 11. These helpful tricks will assist us every time we come into contact with a hard question. Cultural Diversity Week has allowed us to see maths from a different culture’s perspective.
