Matildas Squad Jersey Presentation

Congratulations to Matilda K from 2B who was one of 23 'community Matildas' chosen from across the country to participate in the Federation Square Matildas Squad Jersey Presentation on Tuesday, 11th July 2023. The event was held at Federation Square to announce the Matilda's squad for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. Each 'Matilda' was assigned a Matilda and were called onto the stage to present the jersey for the World Cup to the designated player. The World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand and for the first time ever, there will be 32 national teams participating - the most ever. In all, there have been nine Women's World Cup editions held.

Participants were chosen from most states and territories in the country (VIC, NSW, TAS, WA, QLD and the ACT), with some participants travelling from interstate, in and out of Melbourne, on the same day.

Lighthouse Foundation - 1966 St Kilda Football Club Premiership event

Lighthouse foundation is hosting a spectacular event at the iconic Palais Theatre in St Kilda screening the 1966 St Kilda Football Club Premiership (there one and only premiership in which they won by a point!)

All profits will be donated to Lighthouse Foundation which houses and supports homeless youth with the goal to end youth homlessness in the Melbourne and Greater Melbourne area. For more information on this foundation please see link - https://www.lighthousefoundation.org.au/who-we-are/about-us/.
