Miss Justine Goonan

Dear Sacred Heart School Community,

Thank you for another wonderful term!

Our Sacred Heart School community has been very busy this term with Sporting events, School Camps and Excursions, Celebrations such as our Sacred Heart Feast Day and lots of fantastic learning opportunities for our students.

We also welcomed Shonny, Kaysie, Spencer and Lisa, who have been fantastic additions to our staff and have settled in beautifully already providing great support for our students.

Our Year 6 student leaders, led the Sports Colours Day today, raising $52 for their chosen charity, Sports Access Foundation. This is the first of many ideas our Year 6 student leaders have implemented and I look forward to assisting them in their leadership throughout the school year.

Our Semester One reports have been released on PAM this week. Any families that require a printed copy of their child's/ren's reports, are asked to email admin@shcorryong.catholic.edu.au

An end of term prayer for our community

We thank you Lord, for this term.

For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.

Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Give us strength and courage to do what is right; to be witnesses of our faith.

Help us to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others.

Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.

Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term. W

e thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us.

May we always be conscious of you in our lives.

Amen

CASEA/PP Programs

We are fortunate to be able to provide lots of opportunities for our parents and carers to engage with external services to support your child/ren. I encourage you to please review the information about CASEA  in this newsletter, and to take up these opportunities if suitable to support your child at home.

Winter Uniform

Our mornings are mighty chilly, with it only warming up around lunchtime. Students are asked to wear long sleeves and pants in the morning, otherwise it makes our morning play and exercise times pretty uncomfortable. Students are welcome to change into shorts later in the day as the weather warms up, but given most mornings this week it has been around 2 degrees, it's important they're wearing warm clothing.
