Grade Prep

Term 3 already! On Wednesday the 26th of July we will be celebrating 100 days of school. Students can dress up as 100 years old, so start to organise your grandma and grandpa outfits! 

Term 3 Learning 

Maths 

In Term 3 we will be focussing on the following topics, addition, shapes, subtraction and sharing. 

Writing

We will continue to use our Writers Notebook, the students just love drawing, labelling, and writing about their ideas.  We will be focussing on letter formations and continue with our weekly dictation. 

Reading

In Reading we will continue to go over the reading strategies and comprehension. We will be focussing on making connections with texts, asking questions, summarising, visualising and predicting. 

Inquiry

Our topic is All About Me and we will responding to the following questions 

What makes me me?

What is my personal and family history and how do I know?

What are the things I like? 

Some of the grade 6 students continue to read to the preps when they eat their lunch. The preps listen so well and actively participate in the discussions.
