Buildings and Grounds Update
Ever wondered what your voluntary building fund payments go to? During the summer break and since the commencement of Term 1, the College has made considerable improvements to the buildings and grounds, these include:
- Upgrades to the area at the back of the school where the shade sails were installed last year. The space includes new gardens and lawns, paved areas and tables and chairs for which not only the students can spend their recess and lunch, and as designated outdoor classrooms
- New bins have been distributed around the grounds
- The gardens in the canteen courtyard have been given a facelift
- A Gaga Pit was installed, thank you to our VCE VM students for putting it all together, which is always busy with students at recess and lunch
- Construction for a new half-court basketball commenced last week
- New lockers in the Year 11 locker bay
- New fences and gates have been installed around the staff car park at the top end of the football oval for increased security and safety.
Stayed tuned, more developments are coming.
A huge thank you to the families who have made contributions, the works are creating fabulous spaces for the students to interact, engage and enjoy their school passively and actively. And a massive thank you to our staff who coordinated these fabulous projects.
