SRC 2023

‘We are the voice for all students'

The St Joseph the worker Student Representative Council (SRC) meets once every fortnight with Connie and the school captains. Each class is represented by a student who has been democratically elected as aspiring to our school dispositions and adhering to the roles and responsibilities of an SRC member.

The purpose of the SRC is to:

  • Communicate and explain school decisions to the students
  • Discuss main issues and be responsive at council meetings
  • Give the school leadership team feedback
  • Make the school a better place
  • Take on a leadership role within the school community
  • Support our community (fundraise for important issues)
  • Help and support other students, especially younger ones:

The SRC commits to:

  • Be trustworthy
  • Be responsible
  • Model the school dispositions
  • Communicate clearly
  • Be approachable

Classes will hold class meetings on alternate weeks to allow issues to be raised and discussed with their peers and reported back through the SRC representatives. SRC members are able to experience a leadership role in their school community by representing their class at SRC meetings and reporting back to their class on SRC discussions, decisions, and developments.

Students have been elected and were presented with an SRC badge to acknowledge this achievement.

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Leo Morrison
  • Mia Mosciatello
