Ash Morphet
Hello! I’m Ash (or Mr. Morphet when I’m teaching). I have the privilege of teaching the amazing Year 1 class known as 1AM, and feel very lucky to be supported by amazing students, parents and staff at the school.
Here are some things that you may or may not know about me:
- I have 2 kids, 1 big dog and a teeny-tiny fish
- I listen to music every day, and you will always hear music coming from my classroom in the mornings
- I used to play high-level hockey, and now I run long distances
- I have a large collection of odd socks (some students have started calling me Mr. Odd Socks)
- I love to travel the world, eat spicy food, and fumble my way through foreign languages
- I am intrigued by space, and will often look to the sky to watch satellites fly by
- I used to make prosthetic legs and orthotic bracing for a living
- I got my first taste of teaching when I spent 2 years in Sri Lanka teaching adults how to make prosthetic legs
I love teaching at OGPS!
