Swimming Carnival: This Thursday!

The children are all super excited to participate in the swimming carnival this Thursday the 16th of February. It is looking as though the weather will be on our side! Children will catch the bus to the pool at 3pm and the carnival will begin at 3:30pm. There is no cost for the carnival. Students are able to wear a t-shirt and zinc in their house colour to the carnival if they would like to. A big thank you to all those parents who have volunteered to help with the running of our carnival. I have not been advised of anyone not being able to fulfill their jobs after our postponement, so we will go ahead as planned on the note sent home last week.

To make our carnival run smoothly, we ask that parents sit across the pool from the students. We will be putting up our lovely shade tents for parents to use, so don't forget to bring your camp chairs and make use of the shade provided. Our carnival will be wrapped up around 7pm. It is important that all students stay for the duration of the carnival to cheer on their team mates and experience all the fun of the day. Colour houses have been preparing fiercely for the War Cries and we need all voices there to help.

Our amazing PT&F members will be running a BBQ for the event and will be accepting EFTPOS and cash payments. We will be having a 30min break at around 5pm as our dinner break.

Things to remember for the day:

  • Students wear sports uniform to school.
  • Pack swimmers, rashie, a towel and sunscreen in a separate bag. (Optional: Students may pack a shirt and where zinc that is their house colour).
  • Pack extra snacks and water.
