Meet our new staff

Meet our new staff

In these first few editions of NCS Bytes we would like to introduce you to some our new staff. We have had 10 new staff members join our school this year. Here is a bit about some of them. We are excited to have these staff members join our school community and we trust you will also make them feel welcome if you see them around.

Mrs Charlotte Halliday - Secondary Geography Teacher

Hi, my name is Charlotte Halliday, I am teaching Geography this year at NCS. I have previously only worked in state public schools, but I did attend NCS as a student from Kindy to year 12 many years ago, so it's a nice change working in a Christian school this year. Other than Geography I am also a History, Drama and Dance teacher. I am very excited to be starting up our school's first Dance Troupe this year! And also to be entering NCS into the National Wakakirri Performance competition for the first time later in the year. Outside of school I pastor Celebration Church alongside my husband Benaiah. We also have a very busy and energetic 3 year old, Bear.

Mrs Jude Douglas - Secondary English Teacher

I'm delighted to be returning to NCS this year. I have spent the last three years in Wollongong teaching English and working as a Pastoral Care Coordinator at Illawarra Christian School. This year, I'm teaching Stage 5 and 6 English and continuing in a pastoral care role, working with the Year Advisors in the Secondary School. I am really looking forward to working with the excellent staff team at NCS and getting to know our wonderful students as we all learn what it means to follow Jesus.

Mr Jay De Mel - Business Manager

Hi I’m Jay and I’m excited and blessed to join the NCS team as new Business Manager. Previously I worked in Lighthouse Christian College in Melbourne and Brindabella Christian College in Canberra for a number of years and I’m excited to bring my skills and knowledge to this team. I’m a regular worship muso in many church worship groups and in my free time I enjoy playing cricket and teaching music. I am always on the lookout for new people in the community to share the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
