Citizens of the Term 2022
Prep Citizen of the Term 4 2022
Congratulations Milla, Milla is a hardworking and dedicated student. She has shown a determination to improve her learning and has worked exceptionally hard on her personal learning goals. Milla listens to and acts on feedback and is always eager to improve her work. She never gives up on her goals and will continue to try her best until she is successful. Milla displays a genuine love of learning and is always excited for new learning. She challenges herself to try new things and I was very proud of the speech she gave to our new Prep parents. She was very nervous but didn’t let those feelings stop her from having a go. Milla understands how to be a good friend and is thoughtful and kind to other people both in words and actions. She offers to help not only myself around the classroom but her friends. Milla is patient with her classmates and respectful of other students’ abilities. I often find Milla helping people with their work or encouraging and congratulating them on their efforts. She has been supporting her friend to achieve their handwriting goal and even created a handwriting worksheet for them. Milla displays our school values every day and always to a high standard. Milla, I admire how determined you are and love how you work hard at something until you achieve success. You should be very proud of all your hard work; I know I certainly am.
Congratulations Milla, you are most deserving of this award.
1/2 Citizen of the Term 4 2022
Congratulations Dunja,
As we all know to be a Citizen of the Term recipient, we come together to recognise a student who shows in everyday and in every way, our school values of Care, Respect, Excellence and Community.
Throughout the year Dunja has been a conscientious and focussed worker. Every morning she arrives with a smile on her face, ready to start the day. When faced with a challenge she persists and always completes her work to a high standard. We have had many moments this year when Dunja’s face has lit up because she has finally grasped a complex maths concept after “giving it a go” several times, a joy to see.
Dunja is a quiet achiever, she participates in all school activities with a positive and caring attitude and shows respects for her teachers and peers alike. Dunja is someone who listens, encourages and supports others. She is also a kind and thoughtful friend and is always there to lend a helping hand, taking on extra jobs to help me out in the classroom.
Dunja truly demonstrates our school learning behaviours of being organised, persistent, working cooperatively with her peers and is willing to challenge herself in order to grow and achieve her goals.
Congratulations Dunja, you are a very worthy and deserving recipient of this Citizen of the Term award. You should be very proud of your achievements this year. It has been a pleasure to have you as a student.

Congratulations Zarli
Zarli has been an exemplary model of our school values of Care, Respect, Excellence and Community, setting a fantastic example for others. She has been a kind, caring and supportive friend who is always friendly and greets everyone with a big, beaming smile. Zarli is always respectful of others and their property, she has beautiful manners and treats everyone fairly. She strives for excellence in all that she does, approaching each task with a positive, have-a-go attitude and always giving 100% effort. Her persistence and resilience have also been impressive! Zarli works well with others, she’s inclusive and ensures everyone has a voice and has a go. Zarli has enjoyed sharing her wit and humour with others and has grown in confidence as the year has gone on.Congratulations Zarli on a brilliant year. The way you’ve conducted yourself is a credit to you and your family and you’ve been an absolute pleasure to teach. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours and can’t wait in years to come to hear about your success in whatever you choose to do!
5/6 Citizen of the Term 4 2022
Congratulations Nick!
Nick, you are a very deserving recipient of our school’s prestigious Citizen of the Term award.
Staff from across all areas of the school have commented on how much you have grown and matured as a learner and member of our school community over the past 12 months. You are developing into a positive role model for your peers and are a significant leader in our school.
Nick, you are to be commended on the positive way you consistently display our school values and learning behaviours both in the classroom and yard. You are honest, polite, courteous, and well-mannered to everyone. You are very caring and look after for your mates and peers; regularly checking in with them, comforting them and just being there as a friend.
You consistently enter the classroom with a smile and bring with you a ready-to-learn attitude (most days). You diligently complete learning tasks, even if this means that you have to make the choice to move away from some of your friends so that you can focus and quietly complete your task. It has been great to see you making these choices independently.
A key strength that all staff I spoke with commented on was your ability to respectfully listen to, reflect on and act on feedback. It is evident that you are working hard to make positive choices and learn from your mistakes; be it a choice in the yard, on the sports field or a tricky question in maths. Learning from mistakes is something we know all good learners do, and is evidence of your continual aspiration for personal excellence.
In the classroom, I have been impressed with your ability to collaborate with a range of students. Your maturing leadership skills are evident; working hard to include students of different levels of ability, and to ‘coach’ and support your peers rather than just telling them the answer or doing it for the group. You are able to step up and lead by example, with many of your peers looking to up to you.
Congratulations Nick on such a positive year of learning and growth and for being this term’s 5/6 Citizen of the Term recipient. You certainly are a leader to keep our eye on next year and into the future.
