HASS Reflections - Term 2

BRAZIL

REPORTER: DAVID K

BRAZIL is mostly covered by rainforest and water. It’s mostly covered by those things because there’s lots of rain and sun light. Brazil's surfaces are sand, water, rainforest, concrete and rocks.

Brazil's poor people live near water, on the streets and some are homeless. Brazil's people wear poor clothes that may be torn that have holes. Brazil people are scared about being poor and mostly homeless. People that work in the city in Brazil are rich. Thousands of people in Brazil live in dirty places near gutters and water. Some Brazil people are homeless because they don’t have money and because Brazil  has many poor people.

Brazil's native animals are hawks, eagles, toucans, coloured parrots, owls, swans humming birds and much more. Brazil's animals live in the rainforest and near water. Brazil's animals live there because they need food and water to drink Brazil's animals get their food from water and the rainforest.

I want to live in Brazil because of the world cup and to see the beautiful birds. I will want to live in Brazil so I can meet NEYMAR.

PINK FLAMINGOS

REPORTER: CLAIRE P

In LA13 we have been doing clay animation. First we had to design our characters and draw our story board. Next we had to make the characters and props. We made bright pink flamingos out of clay for our animation.

Then we started taking pictures using a webcam and the claymation software. It was sometimes challenging because we got our hands in the picture. "I thought this was a fun activity but was quite challenging," said an interested Claire. We used six pictures per second because it speeds it up.

After all of that we add our voices and sounds to complete the animation. We need to learn about which program we are going to use. "I can't wait to add our voices to the animation," said an excited James.

Soon we hope to share the completed animations with you.
