2019 Semester 2 Reports - Important Information

Semester 2 reports will be sent home via email on Friday 13th December.

We ask that families who have not updated their email contact recently to please do so on Geddup and at auburn.south.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au as soon as possible.

If for any reason you do not receive your child's report via email on the afternoon of the Friday 13th this means the email may have bounced and to please contact your child's classroom teacher directly on the following Monday.

Safety in the Community

It was brought to my attention that over the weekend, two Auburn South PS boys were chased by an unknown member of the public. This occurred near the Burke Rd South Reserve.  The boys are okay and are unharmed but this serves as a reminder to all parents in terms of supervision and the need to talk to your children about staying safe in the community.

If you have any concerns please feel encouraged to contact the school office your local police branch.

2020 Parent Payment Schedule

Thank you to the large number of families that have supported the school this year via the school's Parent Payments Program. Your support makes a significant difference to the quality of programs and classroom resourcing that we're able to provide to students at our school. If

To assist families in budgeting for next year's Parent Payment Program, School Council has approved the following fee schedule which has been developed in accordance with the school's Parent Payment Policy:

Essential Education Items: $410 per student (P-6)

Curriculum Enhancement: $225 per student (P-4)

Curriculum Enhancement: $145 per student (5/6)

School Nurse: $95 per student (P-6)

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program: $245 per student (Years 3-6 only)

ASPS Family Assistance Fund** (suggested contribution of $15 per family)

** The ASPS Family Assistance Fund is a new initiative from School Council which will be established to support those families that are in crisis or experiencing financial hardship. Funds contributed to this initiative will support student participation in school activities, the purchase of school uniform, shoes and other essential items. We are also working with school partners to provide food vouchers as temporary support to families experiencing hardship.

In addition to the payments listed above, the school also invites families to make tax deductible donations towards the school's Library and Building Trust Fund. In 2019, donations to these funds (along with those raised via local fundraising initiatives) supported the following projects:

- Re-carpeting of the Main Building

- Re-furbishment of the Main Toilet Block

- Furniture upgrade in Years 4 and 5

- Heating and Cooling in the Multi-Purpose Hall (preferred quote and contractor approved at this week's school council meeting!)

If you haven't yet paid this year's fees, it's not too late with final reminders being sent home by the end of next week. Thank you in advance for your continued support.
