Project Based Learning Day – Thursday May 7th

Today our children had a wonderful day creating their own board games!

The day was a great break from regular lessons and gave children, families and staff an opportunity to step away from the regular routine and extended screen time.

Students started the day by watching their principals create their own board games and then got busy investigating, designing, producing and evaluating their own creations.

In a fortnight’s time our Project Based Learning Day theme will be ‘Fairytales and Superheros’.

2021 Enrolments

Since our last newsletter we have received a considerable number of 2021 Prep enrolment requests.

To support our enrolment process we invite you all to promote to the broader community the importance of submitting enrolment forms in a timely manner.

Families with siblings, those who live in our designated neighbourhood zone and other interested parties are asked to complete an enrolment form and email it to our Enrolments Officer, Robyn Miller miller.robyn.e@edumail.vic.gov.au as soon as practical.

Families who are interested in hearing more about our school are invited to view:

Over the coming weeks and dependent on the May 11th State Government announcements, our school will offer other experiences to potential families.

Diary Update

Friday 8th May was previously listed as a potential Curriculum Day. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions the staff professional learning session with Misty Adoniou has been postponed. Tomorrow is business as usual via our Remote Learning website.

School Photos

Our family packs of school photos have arrived and can be collected from the school office from tomorrow, 8.45am - 3.45pm, under strict social distancing protocols.  If you are from a split family, with what may be duplicate or similar ordering requirements, please assist our Administration staff by checking that the package you collect is the one which you ordered.

Our Uniform Shop has moved!

As reported last week, our Uniform Shop has moved to the Admin Block, closer to the Canteen. Thank-you and well done Kim McCallum-Howell and Karen Cyster for your efforts refurbishing the room. It looks terrific!

On-Site Supervision

A reminder: families who require on-site supervision to complete remote learning must complete the On-Site Attendance Request Form weekly. This provision is only for children who are not able to be supervised at home and no other arrangements can be made.

School Council

School Council will progress as scheduled on May 20, 7:30pm, remotely via Zoom. School Council meetings are open to the school community. If you are interested in attending the meeting as a guest please email me at holdsworth.christian.p@edumail.vic.gov.au with the heading ‘School Council Guest’.
