Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Families and Community members,

Curriculum Day 30 August

While the kids are away, the teachers will...work hard!

Together with our colleagues from Montpellier PS, Oberon PS and Oberon South PS, we were able to learn all things Literacy with Misty Adoniou.  Misty is a well recognised presenter at a national level and it was a privilege to have the opportunity to learn with and be inspired by her today.

The opportunity to work with colleagues from other schools was also a rare and fantastic opportunity and we hope to do more of this in the future.

Our Education Support staff worked with Mel Elevato around supportive practices to encourage independence and high expectations for all students. Opportunities like this are often hard to come by and the feedback from staff was extremely positive.

Thanks Mel and Misty!

Father's Day Evening

There was a great turnout of more than 200 people last night all enjoying the STEM and sports activities available.  Many thanks to PACC for organising the BBQ and drinks and to the ACS staff who stayed to assist.

This is the first time we have held this event and based on it's success, I'm sure it won't be the last. As a new  school creating cultures and customs is a big part of our development and I thank everyone involved for supporting us to do so.

We wish all Father's and Special People a very happy (and hopefully fun-filled and relaxing!) day on Sunday.

Students in Grades 3-6 will have their sessions during the day on Tuesday 17th September.

Leading Senior Constable Robbie Noggler is very experienced in this area and will speak to the students using age appropriate content about how to be safe in an on-line space.

East End Car Park

Just a reminder that the East End Car Park (not the one near the main entrance) is for staff only.

This is due to safety risks with students and families exiting past this driveway, whilst cars are coming in and out. Typically this gate is closed between 8.30 and 3.30; however, on occasions it may have been left open so your support in not parking in this car park is appreciated.

Enrolment Intentions for 2020

As we near the end of our second year of establishment, we are currently in the process of developing our workforce plans and learning community models for 2020.

To assist us in this, we would be grateful if families could advise us of their enrolment intentions for 2020 by completing the link below:
