The F1 team would like to give you the most warm welcome to all our students, parents and new teachers.
We are all looking forward to get to know our students and the rest of the community, 2020 will be a very exciting year for all of us!
Also Mark and Luisa would like to officially welcome Jess, Sergio, Angelica and Brenna. We are sure that we have a very strong team and we are looking forward to working with you!
Officially Grade 1 students.
Last week the Year 1 students have been very busy learning exploring the Newlands keystones and learning new skills that will help them to become role models for our new Foundation students. Last Monday they become 'officially year 1 students' with a little event where they all received a certificate.
Welcome Foundation students!
On Tuesday our Foundation students had their first day of school. Not only was it the first for students but also it was the first Foundation day for our teachers Angelica, Sergio, Jess and Brenna. We are all very happy with the way students are settling in, making new friends and learning all the school routines. Foundation students have started to learn the skills on how to be a Newlands learner, investigating numbers and letters and learning new songs. On the first day the Foundation students received a welcome bag with a note that the year 1 students made for each one of them.
Things to know.
On Friday we will send home with all students information and log in details for Sentral and Seesaw. Seesaw is a fantastic application where students will be sharing their learning at Newlands. Seesaw is a learning journal app, more information to come on Friday.

Unfortunately due to extreme weather last year we cancelled the Werribee zoo excursion. Mary (office) has now reimbursed all direct debits to your bank accounts. If you have any queries regarding payments please see Mary at the office.
