Gardening

Kii everyone 

I'm really looking forward to commencing our term 3 gardening program next week, and reconnecting with the middle and senior school students and teachers.

I have lots of plans to get some bigger jobs done over the next semester, including but not limited to:

• Revegetating the garden bed on the shade sale side of the Babajen, in collaboration with Merri Creek Management Committee 
• Working with TPS enviros to design and beautify the concreted spaces outside the Babajen
• Continue caring for our Woiwurrung Garden on Hutton Street side
• Growing and harvesting produce in the vegie garden
• Exploring fungi through cultivation of oyster mushrooms and investigating mycomaterials for biofabrication (growing materials such as plant pots out of mycelium)
• Propagating plants to sell at the arts festival

I also know the students are very keen to do some cooking - if there are any interested parents or carers who would like to help with this please let me know :)

The weather forced us to postpone the after-school working bee on Thursday to weed and mulch our Woiwurrung garden.  Stay tuned for a new date!
