Sport at Homestead

Every day Matters

Term 2 was an extremely busy term for sport at Homestead. The Homestead Sports Academy continued to grow and thrive, as new students made their way down every Wednesday, to participate in the different sports that were on offer.

The first interschool-sport that went out this term was Senior Boys Netball. They participated in a tournament on Thursday the 4th of May against various schools in the Hobsons Bay Division cluster. All of the boys played exceptionally well and represented the school in a way that we are all proud of.

Our senior badminton teams had another successful tournament, winning first place in both the male and female division. We are extremely proud of how they played on the day and wish them luck in the Western Metropolitan tournament coming up in July.

Intermediate girls' netball participated in the Hobsons Bay Division tournament and played extremely well throughout the tournament, winning 3 out of 5 games for the day. All of the girls played exceptionally well and represented the school in such an amazing way that we are all proud of.

Intermediate boys badminton had a fantastic day out at Altona Badminton Center. They versed a variety of teams in the Hobsons Bay Division cluster and came runners up on the day. They all played extremely well and we are proud of their achievement.

As a college, we are extremely proud of how our students participated in all varieties of sports over this term and look forward to their efforts going forward.
