From the Assistant Principal

Adele Brice

Hi everyone,

I trust you all had a restful term 2 break. It's been a busy start to the term with events including the school disco in the first week, play off finals for several of our Interschool Sports teams and the building development for the new Performing Arts Centre.

Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy reminder

With upcoming events such as the P-2 Gymnastics program, the 1-2 Zoo excursion, 3-6 Athletics and the School Production, it is timely that we revisit the Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy.

Please remember that you are not to post any photos taken at school events on social media and that you should only be taking photos of your own child/ren.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy  explains that ...

Wonga Park Primary School requests that parents/carers, students and invited guests who photograph, film or record school activities only do so for their own personal use and do not publish the images in any form, including on social media, without the prior consent of persons whose children also appear in the images.

Volunteer Child Safe Training

As you are no doubt aware, we are mandated (without exemption) to provide training for all volunteers working in our school. It's a requirement that our staff and volunteers are equipped with knowledge, skills and awareness to keep young people safe through ongoing education and training. Training is required to be updated annually.

A training session was held on Monday 24th July 5.15-5.45pm (online).

Any further opportunities will be recorded on the Parent Sentral Calendar. Please note they will be scheduled depending on interest from the community.
