šŸ„³ 100 Days of School!

On Wednesday the 26th of July, our Preps celebrated their 100th day of school! This was a wonderful way to celebrate 100 days of growing, learning and being at school.

Some of the activities we did were:

  • Bringing in a collection of 100 'things' and counting them
  • Playing the 'Race to 100' maths game
  • Engaging in a '100' fitness challenge
  • Making '100' biscuits to take home
  • Creating celebration crowns
  • Having a picnic under the Oak Tree as a Prep community

We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of our celebration day. We had so much fun!

šŸŒ CBL - Diversity

The Preps have enjoyed exploring differences between each other and our families' cultures. These discussions have included making connections to our First Nations people and learning about the importance of acknowledging Country and the people who lived here before us.

šŸ‘ÆGymnastics

Our Preps are absolutely loving going to gymnastics! A real highlight is going on the bus together! The sessions include core strength work like rolling, tumbling, jumping and climbing. Students work in mixed groups to strengthen their connections across the level and make new friends.Ā

We are so proud of the way our students have represented Wonga Park Primary School, the manners they have shown to the gymnastics teachers and the way they have taken on new challenges.

NAIDOC Week

The Preps came together as a community to watch the Play School NAIDOC Week episode. We have been continuing to read picture story books by First Nations authors and discussing the ideas that arise from the text. We have loved looking at the beautiful artwork in these books. We have provided images of some of the stories that we have enjoyed recently. You might like to read them, too!

Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge

The Challenge is well underway, but it is not too late to join in! We hope to have many of our Prep students taking part. If you are unable to find your childā€™s login details that were sent home last term, please reach out to your childā€™s classroom teacher.
