Principal News

Yesterday I spent some time outside during play time where I had some Year 3 and 4 students come up to tell me about a mystery that they were trying to solve. As part of this, they asked me to step into the sandpit to make a footprint so they could see if my footprint was the same as the footprint that they has seen as part of the clues from the mystery they are working to solve. Luckily (for me), my footprint didn't match. The students then went on to say that this mystery is part of the Year 3 class program and they are all working hard to solve it. I really enjoyed chatting with these students and it was really great for me to hear that they were so excited about the learning they are doing in their classrooms that they wanted to tell me all about it during play time. Thank you to Imogen, Aurora, Maddy, Scarlett, Eve and Michelle for speaking with me. I really hope that you solve the Year 3 mystery and no, I wont be asking all off the teachers to tell me their shoe sizes and foot measurements, you will have to use your other detective skills to get to the bottom of this one!

I was also fortunate enough to have some other students share with me some things that they think are great about BFPS. Here is what they had to say:

*Ryanne FJ - It's great because I love drawing rainbows, my family and my friends.

*Lincoln FJ - We are learning about all of the different letters.

*Malak 6K- A great place for learning and making new friends, there are lots of places you can play.

*Amisha 6B- The environment and the fun playgrounds. The staff are really nice.

*Tyler 2W - I made lots of friends, its really awesome, we get to do fun stuff with our friends.

*Cyra 2W - In art we have been learning about Aboriginal Art and how to do dot paintings.

*Sam 1L- I have lots of friends, play lots of games and there are lots of things to choose to do.

It brings me great pride to hear our students speak with such enthusiasm about our school.

I want to take a moment to inform our whole community of the road works that will be happening on Cadles Rd starting next week. I ask that parents and carers take note of these road works and consider if this will impact the arrangements they have in place for dropping off/collecting students to and from school. Please also remember that parking is available at Banyan Reserve which is directly behind our school and there is a gate that provides access between Banyan Reserve and the school. There is more detailed information about the upcoming road works included in "From the Office" page in this newsletter.
