Connect: Year 1
It has been a fantastic Term T with lots of smiling and learning. Term Three is already looking like lots of fun with incursions and swimming. Below are some ideas and recourses that can be used throughout the holidays. We hope you enjoy the holidays, stay warm and see you all next term!

- Please pack a spare change of clothes in your child's bag. The yard is getting muddy and the office has no further spares.

Literacy
- Reading eggs online.
- Word review in student reader satchels.
- Sound hunts - Look for different phonemes around the house or community.
- Making and writing in a card for friends or family.
Maths
- Math seeds online.
- Review 100s chart. - What comes before or after? How many tens and ones?
- Ten frames race.
- Tumbling towers game.
Inquiry
- Discuss different community members, places and services you may see. -Eg Library, park, supermarket, emergency services
Wellbeing
- Point out strengths you see them showing. - Eg persistence, patience, flexibility, kindness or creativity.
Celebrating community
Grade 1 had so much fun dressing up as community members and constructing a box town. It was a fabulous way to wrap up our Inquiry unit while letting their creative minds shine!
