Principal's Report

Jane Briffa | Principal

Dear Skye Families,

This newsletter brings Semester One to an end. It was wonderful to see the Parent/Teacher interview sessions booked out. We hope you enjoyed discussing your child's progress and that you walked away feeling confident about their next steps in learning as we embark on Semester Two. We thank you for your patience as we tackled  the technical issues with the release of student reports. Should you have further questions or would like to discuss anything with your child's teacher, we encourage you to always reach out and not wait for formal interviews. It is important that we keep our lines of communication open to ensure the best outcomes for every child in our care. I would like to take this time to thank our wonderful teachers for their continued hard work and dedication in striving to provide the best possible opportunities and environment for student learning.

A reminder that all Prep enrolments for 2024 are due in by Friday 28 July for all government schools. Anyone applying for an 'out of zone' school will be advised in writing of the outcome on Friday 11 August. We have had some very large tours this term and have enjoyed meeting prospective new parents and showing off our beautiful school. The classrooms are looking amazing and really highlight the care and quality of learning that is taking place in every learning space.  If you are ever up at school and would like to have a look at the different learning spaces, please let us know. You are welcome anytime.

The calendar for next term is already full, beginning with our Grade 5 camp at Sovereign Hill. We look forward to inviting you to join us during Science Week and Book Week. The PTF and SRC have some fun events planned as well so please look out for the calendar of events in newsletters next term.

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing winter break.  We look forward to seeing everyone back next term ready to learn and grow.

Kind Regards,

Jane Briffa
