Connect: Year 6

Well done on a fabulous term. Can you believe the grade six students only have one semester left at primary school? We have been so proud of everything they have achieved so far and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

Some highlights from this term include:

  • Camp
  • Project Magnify
  • Lightening Premiership
  • Workshop run by Frankston Council about Sandfield Reserve
  • Help Seeking incursion

Students dazzled us with their incredible speeches that focused on influential Australians from our recent history. We were very impressed with the respect they showed to each other and how brave they were getting up to talk in front of the class.

Students leave this term with a broader understanding of fractions and area. Mathematics can be challenging and we love how students approached the challenge with an open mind.

This term's fluency focus was a lot of fun. Students enjoyed working collaboratively to present reader's theatre scripts and we saw a massive improvement in student's confidence when reading aloud.

Have a spectacular holiday. Stay safe and we are looking forward to seeing you all next term!
