Connect: Year 4

A HUGE well done to all the students' efforts this term. We have enjoyed watching their continual growth in their learning, as well as social and emotional capabilities. 

Thank you for attending parent teacher interviews on such a cold and rainy day. It was lovely to meet you all. 

Some optional activities and revision for the holidays:

Writing

• Writing different types of sentences on particular topics. E.g. questions, statements, explanation and commands.
• Journal entries on holiday activities. 
• Write a letter and post it to a friend. 
• Write a shopping list for the week.

Reading

• Read for a minimum of 20 minutes per day.
• Go to the local library.
• Read and make some yummy recipes.

Maths

• Practise times tables up to 10 x 10.
• Telling the time on an analogue clock.
• Playing card games.
• Counting change when paying for items with cash. 

Celebration of Learning

Students have been diligently working on their artificial island for the Inquiry project. With the high standard the students are displaying on this task, we will carry this over into the beginning of Term 3 to ensure they see their completion of the learning cycle.
