Pupil Free Day

Monday the 19th of April is a PUPIL FREE DAY. Staff will be participating in professional learning off site. All students return to school on Tuesday the 20th of April.

 

School Drop Off

We need to remind parents and carers that the Church Avenue entrance is a bus zone only.  Parents are not able to drop their children off in a bus zone and must drive around into Thomas Street to bring their children to school.

 

Year 3/4 Mufti and Movie Day Report

$106.20 was raised via gold coin donations for our wonderful mufti and movie day. This money will go to the Caritas Project Compassion Appeal to help those who are far less fortunate than ourselves.  Thank you to everyone who sent a donation in on this day.

Kindergarten

Addison Allan-for your confident, mature and enthusiastic approach to all learning activities. You are a super star!

Ryder Hird- for you application and enthusiasm during Maths lessons.

Years 1 and 2

Hayden Stockwell - for challenging himself to use VCOP strategies consistently in his writing. 

Reuben Shaw -for being an enthusiastic mathematician and sharing his  mathematical thinking with the class. 

Years 3 and 4

Alex Davis- having a positive attitude and enthusiasm towards his learning

Ricky Hird-for trying hard to improve his writing by being more focused.

Years 5 and 6

Lincoln Darnell -  a great effort in our School Spelling Bee! 

Isabella Brown - showing great leadership when working with the Kindergarten students.

St. Joseph's School Art Competition Report

The inaugural Art Competition was a big success and we congratulate all students who submitted an entry. Yesterday, the hallway between Stage 1 and the Staff Hub was transformed into an Art Gallery, allowing all the students the opportunity to view the wonderful collection of artistic pieces. Judging was not easy, however a combined effort from the staff and senior students allowed us to reach a verdict and this morning we announced the winners in front of a very excited school body.

These artworks will be displayed in the shop front over the school holidays, allowing our beautiful community the chance to celebrate these artworks. All other entries will be returned to students to showcase in their own homes this week. 

 

As a fundraising effort, we are very proud to announce that the Art Competition raised $50 to go towards the school's Project Compassion appeal.
