ANZAC Day Assembly

On Friday 23 April we held a wonderful ANZAC Assembly in the MPC. A big thank you to Mrs Varga for organising such a moving assembly. All students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 had the opportunity to reflect on the amazing sacrifices made by the ANZAC soldiers who risked their lives to protect our freedoms.

Joel at the Australian Track and Field Championships

Congratulations to Joel H who represented NSW at the 2021 Australian Track and Field Championships this month.

Joel raced in the Under 14 boys 1500m and the Under 14 boys 800m at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. All Australian States were represented and it was such an amazing opportunity for him to be a part of this event! 

Joel ran his races so well. However, the competition was strong and the pressure was great being a national event! Despite finding the races hard both mentally and physically, he still managed to finish 8th in Australia in his 1500m race against 25 of the fastest boys from all over the nation, which is amazing in itself and testament to his ability and dedication to his training! In his 800m race, he sadly didn’t make the final, but still finished 5th in his heat, which was a huge effort.
