Mr Luke McMahon

Reflection

Give us courage, O Lord to walk the journey with you, believing in your love for us; believing in your care for us; believing in the power of your sacrifice.
Be with us as we journey this Lenten season to the joy and comfort of Easter.
Amen

Lenten Appeal

MCA Parents please note that as a College we commit to assisting our Marist brothers and sisters who share our Marist heritage but not our privileged way of life. Australian Marist Solidarity runs programs in Marist communities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our aim is for each MCA student to commit $20.00 to the Lenten collection over the weeks of Lent as a way of supporting these communities.

If you would like to donate directly on behalf of your son and family please click here or go to the MCA monitor link - http://bit.ly/MCAlenten

Through the generous and compassionate concern of all those associated with our College community, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need our support.

Easter Egg Raffle Primary School

Our thanks to the Primary school community who have so generously donated to the outstanding Easter Egg raffle that will be run through the Primary. We have a total of 16 prizes for the boys to win. Raffle tickets will go on sale this week and the raffle will be drawn next week. All the proceeds of the raffle will go to the Lenten Appeal.

Chaplain’s Corner

"To err is human, to forgive divine", wrote Alexander Pope. How true that is! To err is human – we all make mistakes; we all do and say things that we later regret. But to forgive! Sometimes it seems beyond our human strength to do so. We need God’s help. It can happen that the person we find hardest to forgive is our self. People have said to me on more than one occasion ‘I can never forgive myself for …’ Sometimes they are referring to a wrongful act, more often to something done with good intention that proved to be a mistake. If, with God’s help, we can forgive ourselves our failings, we can find it easier to forgive others their failings. If you are struggling to forgive yourself or someone else, today is a good day to talk this over with the Lord.

Mary, our Good Mother, pray for us.

St. Marcellin Champagnat, pray for us.

St. Mary of the Cross, pray for us.

And may we always remember to pray for one another.

Community Prayers

We pray for all in our community who are unwell and are suffering at this time.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Terry Connolly (father of staff member Michael Connolly and Grandfather of present and past students)

May our loving God, with Mary and Champagnat, walk with all members of the Marist family. Amen
