Sports Update

State School Swimming Championships 

Jacob Ryder won his 50m Freestyle event at NMR Championships, qualifying him for the State Schools State Swimming Championships. With another great swim, Jacob finished a very respectable 7th place. Well done Jacob!

 

NMR Tennis

On Tuesday 27th April the Year 8 Girls Tennis team competed at NMR Tennis

The Year 8 girl’s tennis team put on a stellar performance winning NMR without out dropping at set. This has now qualified the girls for the state championships later in the year. 

Congratulations to Ava Beck, Chantelle McCormack, Ruby Beck, Amber Henderson and Ava McCallum.

A big thanks to Jayden our ADP tennis coach, for being such an integral part of this outstanding achievement. 

 

 

Intermediate Sport

A number of Year 9 and 10 Students proudly represented the college in Soccer and Netball. All students had fun and participated to the best of their ability, displaying unmatched sportsmanship throughout the day. Well done to all involved. 

 

Division Athletics

40 students represented the College at the Division Athletics Championships. This is the most successful Division Athletics that I can remember in my time at the College, qualifying for Northern Metropolitan Region in events. Congratulations to the following students who came first in their events.

Senior Sport

40 students across years 11 and 12 represented the college at Division Senior Boy’s Football and Senior Girl’s Netball.  Both teams gave their best efforts and displayed some amazing skills.  The Senior Girl’s Netball Team A, finished second overall and have qualified for the NMR finals. Great work girls!

For our year 12 students this was their last ever inter-school sport round robin. Thank you to all year 12 students who have participated in inter-school over the past 6 years, your participation and contribution to the College sports program is highly valued.
