Year 7  Update

Year 7 students will be attending NAPLAN next week between Tuesday and Friday. 

It is EMC's belief that all students should complete NAPLAN as it presents an exceptional opportunity to get practice in a testing environment in preparation for similar future events; driver license tests, job interviews, etc. 

Some students and families may have concerns about NAPLAN results considering the difficult nature of the 2020 academic year, which is a good opportunity to remind families that NAPLAN is not just about results but is a great life learning opportunity.

Term 2

This term has some exciting events upcoming, include:

• Athletics Carnival
• Year 7 Inventors Night 
  This is an awesome night for the community where students get to show off their inventions as part of their Digital Technologies elective. Term 2 will host Allinga and Bindana, whilst Inventors Night in Term 4 will host Kurunda and Myamba.
• Moonlit Sanctuary Excursions 
  Year 7s will visit the local wildlife sanctuary in Pearcedale as part of their Science curriculum. This a fan favourite amongst staff and students alike.
