Year 12

Many thanks to Ms Cate Jacka for her organization of the Year 12 Retreat program for 2021. Thanks to all staff: Mr Tony Dalton, Ms Sue Dempster, Mrs Marian Le Bas, Ms Natalie Burke, Ms Julia Smith, Ms Nadia Andary, Mrs Louise Stevens, Mr Chris Moore and Mrs Felicia Limogiannis, for the support they provided all of our Year 12 students on this amazing experience. These memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of students.

Year 12 Retreat

Retreat will be a memory that the Class of 2021 will cherish and remember forever. For the bonds that were made, the laughter that was shared, and the appreciation and gratitude that was spread amongst each and every individual.

Retreat not only brought us together as a cohort but made us open our eyes to appreciate what’s around us and the impact that even the smallest acts of kindness can have on each other's lives. Being kind and showing how much you appreciate the beauty of others never goes unnoticed. Expressing your individuality, your talents and dreams is seen and supported by so many people.

Retreat really emphasised and showcased that Year 12 will be a year to remember as a year of support, love and passion as we drive our own individual journeys whilst encouraging and motivating others to obtain their own success. We have the ability to be our best selves and can make a difference in this world, even if it is just small!

As Ms. Jacka once said, “be better, not bitter”, builds others up rather than tear them down. All it takes is one act of kindness, one gesture, one conversation or one compliment to make that difference. Retreat taught us that we can, and will, be that difference!
