Swimming Carnival This Week!
Swimming Carnival This Week!

Extra Sports Uniform Day this Week: Students will be required to wear their sports uniforms on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Swimming Session:  Tomorrow - Wednesday the 9th of February from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the Quirindi Pool. All children K-6 will travel to and from the pool by bus under the supervision of our teaching staff. The cost for swimming is $6.00 for bus and pool or $2.00 for the bus if your child has a season ticket. Payments can be made via the Qkr App please. This session will also be used to assess our new students' swimming confidence levels, so we are all ready and raring to go for Thursday's carnival. Children will need a separate bag packed with their swimmers, rashie, towel, thongs or slides, sunscreen (only if a particular brand is needed, we have sunscreen at school) and goggles (if needed).

Swimming Carnival:  The children are all super excited to participate in the swimming carnival this Thursday the 10th of February. It is looking as though the weather will be on our side! Children will catch the bus to the pool at 2:30pm and the carnival will begin at 3pm. There is no cost for the carnival. Students are able to wear a t-shirt and zinc in their house colour to the carnival if they would like to. A big thank you to all those parents who have volunteered to help with the running of our carnival. A note has been sent home today to advise you of the job you have been allocated.

To be COVID safe we ask that parents sit across the pool from the students and that you are mindful to socially distance from one another. We will be putting up our lovely new shade tents for parents to use, so don't forget to bring your camp chairs and make use of the shade provided. Please do not attend if you are unwell and don't forget to sign in and sanitise your hands upon arrival.

Our amazing PT&F members will be running a BBQ for the event and will be accepting EFTPOS and cash payments. Check out the menu in the PT&F section of this newsletter!
