Attendance Information

We have had a great few days back at school already. This is just a reminder to everyone that students need to be at school before 8:50am and they need to be collected at 3.20pm in the afternoons.  If there are changes to normal arrangements, we must be notified by 2pm to allow teachers to share changes with our students.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Absences

Today we are sending some reminder notes to parents who have unexplained absences or late notes.  This is a reminder that you need to explain all absences through the Compass App within 7 days of the absence.  If your child is late for school you will need to let us know why, when you drop your child at the gate and we can put this in for you - just until you are able to be back on site to sign them in yourselves.  If you need further information in regards to attendance please don't hesitate to call the office.

RAT Test Collection

The second shipment of RATs has arrived at school and will be available for collection tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th of February from the front gate, between 8am and 3:30pm or at the PT&F meeting on Wednesday evening.

If you haven't already, could you please return the notes sent home last week as a matter of urgency.

The Coolamon Challenge

The Coolamon Challenge is back! For those new to our school, the Coolamon Challenge is a weekly challenge put out to students to complete over the week. The challenge may be a puzzle, a riddle, a maths equation or something completely different! At Friday's assembly, a winner is chosen at random from correct entries for both Infants and Primary. These lucky students receive a voucher for a free icecream at The Coolamon. We are very grateful for these generous donations from the wonderful team members at The Coolamon and from all accounts last year from our winners, the icecreams are delicious!

This weeks challenge: Where's Wally? Wally has hidden himself somewhere around the grounds of St. Joseph's School and needs to be found! Students will need to keep an eye out during the day to see if they can spot him (and sshhh, keep it a secret!) and then fill out the entry form with his location. Winners will be drawn at Friday's assembly. Happy Hunting!

10c Bottle, Can and Juice Box Donation Drive

Our bottle collection is back in full swing for 2022!

Each Wednesday, students are invited to bring in their cans, bottles, cartons and juice boxes in a plastic bag and drop them into the collection bin which sits near the front gate. Please check each item to make sure they have the 10c label and are eligble for donating.

Don't forget, Sports Day = Donation Day!
