Special Education

Special Education has seen some new faces join us in 2022. Cohorting has made it difficult for our students to be fully emersed in all that is Special Education at Henry Kendall. However, as restrictions are reduced we will see our sport, work and community access programs will  recommence.

TVet access has started for seven of our senior students with students attending Wyong and Ourimbah TAFE. Students are studying Animal Care and Hospitality and have made great progress in being able to travel independently to both sites.

The 7/8 Class have been studying Ancient Egypt and had great fun eating, drinking, walking and dressing like Egyptians. The purple and green Project Base Learning Class have been visiting the farm and collecting and packing eggs, seed planting and caring for the chickens.

The 7/8 Class have been having fun studying forces in motion and the famous egg drop. The eggs were not smashed in this but it required students to create designs that could safely bring eggs down to earth without breaking. Hence working against gravity it was a great success, as the photos show.
