COVID Update

The school has been communicating with families of students who attended camp, but we understand that members from across the whole school community want to understand what has occurred and how our school is responding.

The investigation into how the exposure occurred last week continues. We are communicating with the principal of the other school at the campsite and we are sharing pertinent information (no personal information) in order to have as much of the whole picture as possible and we are connecting our regional contacts in both the Departments of Education and Health.

We believe both schools and the families connected to these two communities deserve answers to how this level of exposure was possible and we want to understand potential risks so we are able to put precautionary measures in place for the future - at a school and DET level, as well as with camp programs.

Our thoughts and wishes are with all our families emerging from isolation and those who have positive cases within their household. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

If your child receives a positive test result between now and Thursday 23/12, we ask that you please email Hannah (hannah.reid@education.vic.gov.au) to let the school know, as there are some circumstances where we will need to inform families of potential exposure.
