Farewells

I take this opportunity to thank and farewell our staff members who are leaving us at the end of the year:

  • Natalie Yuill
  • Tanya Mischler
  • Eli Cohn

Natalie will take family leave as she prepares for her second baby due in March.  Tanya is moving to a part time ES position at a mainstream primary school, where she can gain additional experience while undertaking her tertiary education degree. While Eli is vacating the TLI role, he will remain closely connected with our school through his ongoing contribution as a CRT.

Megan Bramble is taking a well deserved extended period of long service leave throughout Term 1.

On behalf of the Belmore School community I would like to thank these staff for their contribution to Belmore School and wish them well.

Whole School Production

Our whole school production 'Everybody, Everywhere' was a wonderful success with all students enjoying the opportunity to shine on the stage and celebrate their particular class theme.  Our production maestro Leo Chan so perfectly stated that "a successful and enjoyable performative experience is very powerful for students’ increased engagement and belonging within their school and the community".  On your behalf I viewed the performance with my parent hat on, and know that you would have been extremely proud of your child's involvement.

As you are aware our official school photographer Hikari Photopgraphy recorded the entire performance as well as taking still photography throughout.  Once the recording is edited and ready to view we will send parents and carers a link for you to register your interest through submission of your email address.  Once approved a code will be sent via email, enabling you to log in to view the performance in the comfort of your home at a time of your convenience.

Congratulations and best wishes to our Secondary Learning Centre graduates:

While our graduations had to be held in compliance with DET COVIDSafe guidelines, all graduates were provided with a lovely celebration, beautifully prepared by their classroom staff, Rose and Charlotte, Lydia and Renee and Megan and Tanya.

Transition Program

Next Tuesday morning, all our students will spend a session in their new classroom with their 2022 teacher, classroom support ES and classmates.  This is always a special event as staff and students get to know each other and talk about the wonderful learning opportunities planned for the new school year.

Final Day of School

The last official day of school is Friday 17 December with a 12 noon dismissal. All class celebrations and other special events will be held prior to this day to allow time on Friday for our staff to pack up and clean their classrooms and undertake the move into their new classrooms ready for next year.  Please advise your child's teacher via the diary if your child will be finishing school on Thursday 16 December to enable Kim in administration to inform Mees Bus Lines.

Please note that school will resume for students on Tuesday 1 February 2022.
