Safety around parking
An important and friendly reminder to all parents and grandparents to take particular care when dropping off or picking up children. At peak times there are many students, parents, grandparents and toddlers around both the Parish Carpark and at the Back Gate. It can be quite congested and requires everyone to be extremely watchful and patient. Please be mindful of pedestrian traffic. For the safety of everyone, please be careful and follow the instructions of any school and street signage.
The Crossing at Lights at Dunoon and Police Road is the safest way to cross Police Road.
At the back of the school....
St John's Way is a kiss and drop. Do not park, get out of car and hold up traffic.
Please be courteous and respectful of the rights of local traders and neighbours when you park in the surrounding streets to drop off or pick up your children.
Do not park in or over neighbours driveways.
In Dunoon Court outside the shops please ensure you do not block users from accessing or leaving shop carparks. You may have to "let the public" in and out - patience and respect is the key!
Do not drop your child off on the corner of Studley and Bevis Street in the no standing area.
The Council and Police do and will continue to enforce fines on people who are not obeying the law. Fines are significant.
Safety is paramount!
RAT KITS - COVID 19
Our week 3 & 4 RAT Kits have now been distributed to all staff and students.
- These tests are voluntary but strongly encouraged. We ask that your child test twice a week (Monday and Thursday if possible) , although you can choose the days that best suit your family.
- I have once again included last weeks information about reporting and managing cases on the page Reminders about COVID
Anaphylaxis
FINAL REMINDER:
- I remind parents and carers that we have several students in our school who have anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis can be life threatening. To this end I request that parents do not send your child to school with any nut products for snack or lunch.
- Please note that if you wish to bring a birthday treat for class members, it can not be food related. Perhaps a pencil, stationery or stickers could be a good alternative.
