SCIENCE

Year 9 Science

This term the Year 9s have started their study of Ecosystems. The students have been learning about food webs, biotic and abiotic factors that affect ecosystems and adaptations.

We are lucky to have access to the Reptile House so that the students can get some hands on experience while learning about reptile adaptations.

Big thanks to Mr Whitby and the reptile keepers for sharing their expertise!

Year 11 Psychology

Psychological research is underway at Lilydale High School with the Psychology students collecting data for their Student-Directed Practical Investigation.

The students have chosen a topic that we have studied in Unit 2 and are extending their knowledge by conducting further research into that topic. They are required to collect primary data and adhere to ethical requirements while collecting their data. They will write up their findings in week 4.

The topics chosen have been how colour affects taste perception, how packaging affects taste perception, conformity and the bystander effect.
