Master Class Lectures

The Yarra Ranges and Yarra Valley VCE Networks were developed to enhance the performance of students in our area, and as part of that, Master Class lectures are conducted at a reasonable cost for students to assist them with their studies.

On Saturday 13 October, Year 12 Business Management students attended the Master Class conducted by John Mitchell. John is an experienced teacher at St. Joseph’s College in Geelong.  He runs a website for Business Management students and teachers and conducts revision lectures throughout the year.

John’s lecture gave students further insights into how to address the exam and he reviewed the key topics on the Unit 3 & 4 course.

Many thanks to the Year 12s that gave up their Saturday morning to help further their studies and good luck on your exam on Monday 5 November!!!

Students feedback from the Master class;

Jayde H -

It is the best revision lecture that I have attended so far.

Brianna B -

The part where we marked the questions ourselves was really good, especially because none of them were perfect responses and had really common mistakes.

Amber K -

The slides were well presented and easy to read, they had good information. The booklet that we were given contained heaps of great info and resources. I found the sample questions that we had to mark very helpful, it provided a way in which I could understand how marks were allocated and lost.

Chloe S -

I really liked the lecture and being shown why the answers weren’t right. I think it was a great use of time and could have gone longer if there was possibly a break. Thank you so much for organising it all !!

Design your Castle Challenge

Last week, students in Ms Hovenjec's Year 8 History classes were working collaboratively to devise and design the ultimate defensive castle with what limited resources were available.

Each castle must adhere to the conventions of the technology and architecture of the medieval period, however, the more innovative and strategic the design, the better!
