OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Grampians National Park

In Week 5, the Units 1-4 Outdoor Education students hiked the Peaks Trail in the Grampians National Park.

The Peaks Trail is a 36km hike, which explores the rugged mountain peaks from the top of Mount Resea, to the panoramic views from the Pinnacle Lookout.

During the 3 day, 2 night hike, the students were mentally and physically tested and showed great resilience throughout hike.

The focus of the camp was for the Units 1/2 students to contribute to the planning and execution of an outdoor experience, while the Units 3/4 students were able to gain a greater insight into the range of factors that can influence an outdoor experience.

We were blessed with fantastic weather throughout our time at the Grampians National Park and I would like to thank Eleni Stavrou and Brad Mitchell for assisting on the camp and making it very successful.
