Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June

1.30 pm

Performing Arts Centre

The Significant Persons Project for Year 8 students is a substantial part of the semester's curriculum.  This project spans the Arts, Languages and English faculties and is intended to allow students to identify and pay homage to a significant person in their lives.

Students have chosen a range of people to be their significant person: parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, coaches and teachers.

Students have written a reflective piece of writing about their chosen person that was inspired by that persons's character, described their person in French or Indonesian and created ceramic tiles, paintings and dramatic interpretations that symbolise their significant person.

Afternoon Presentation

Parents and Guardians are invited to attend the celebration afternoon, along with their child's significant person or proxy.  The afternoon is an opportunity for the school community to celebrate the students' achievements, and allow the students to publicly acknowledge and thank their significant person.

The afternoon will comprise of presentation and tour of the gallery to view the art works while enjoying a light afternoon tea.

Parents and Guardians are reminded to return the Significant Persons Presentation slip to the General Office or phone 9735 5644 to advise the number of guests attending the afternoon.
