Year 10 & 11 EIS Netball Match

EIS Netball Match

On Tuesday 21 May,  the LHS Year 10 and 11 EIS Netball group participated in a match against Hallam Secondary College.

It was a fantastic experience for our students to participate in such a high quality game, against a school, that also has a Netball program.

The EIS girls continued to show improvement on their technical and tactical skills throughout the match, but unfortunately were defeated 32 -53.

We look forward to competing against Hallam, in the Waverley International Schools Netball tournament, to be held during the first week of the school holidays.

Thank you to Ms Knight for taking video footage for our post match analysis and to Ms Rowson for her support on the bench.

Worawa Aboriginal College Reconciliation Cup - Netball Tournament

On Tuesday 21 May, the Year 10 EIS Netball girls attended a Reconciliation Cup Tournament at Worawa Aboriginal College.

This is a day that encourages sport, cultural and social exchange between participants in the spirit of Reconciliation.

The girls had a fantastic day both on and off the court!

Intermediate Girls Netball

Congratulations to our four Intermediate Girls Netball teams who played at Yarra Division on Tuesday 28 May.

Lilydale High had all teams finish top in their pool, which meant that the Grand Final for each section was played against each other!

Well done to Lilydale High 1, who will move onto the next round at Eastern Metropolitan Region.

Thanks to Ms Knight and Ms Wilson for convening and coaching on the day.

METS Performance

The Unit 3 PE students were lucky enough to have METS Performance come out and run a VO2 Max Test.

Cayden Maki rode on the bike to test his maximal oxygen uptake, while the students learnt about various concepts of the course.
